Dear Ana,
Conscious living is all about paying attention. It is noticing how we feel, how what we do, what we eat, affects us deep inside. For many of us, this can be very difficult because we spend so much of our energy finding ways to numb ourselves, or get us through the next hour. We shut down the whispering voice. But living consciously is about allowing ourselves time for noticing the information our bodies send our way.

Does the thought of work create a lump in the pit of your stomach? Then maybe it's time for a transition that feeds your heart.

Do you need antacids or other aids to get through a meal, and still end up with uncomfortable problems? Then maybe it's time to explore other foods.

Do you have sleeping problems, and not receive proper rest and regeneration? Maybe you should sit quietly and ask your body what is standing in the way of resting.

So many times we find ourselves at a loss to understand our ailments, when our bodies broadcast the information we need. Just listen.

Living a conscious life is a choice. Celebrate all things that bring joy, ease and healing. Allow the flow of your body's information and you may find  that you are building a new list of likes. You might find that you like listening to Mozart while doing your office work.  Or that you like sitting on your porch on a warm summer evening. You might really like that herbal elixir with some cold sparkling water, or the clean fresh mist of a mountain creek as it races downhill.

Listen to what your body is telling you.

Many Blessings ~ Ana

Spotlight: Tanya Pratkelis
by Colleen M. Quinn

Spotlight: Tanya PratkelisIf you are looking for a unique alternative to solving problems of stress, chronic pain, or a multitude of other issues, Tanya Pratkelis recommends giving craniosacral therapy a try. But don't let the name scare you away. Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a remarkable form of therapeutic touch that can help a wide range of maladies. CST does great things for people, says Tanya, a massage therapist who specializes in the therapy.

CST is based on the craniosacral system which is comprised of the cerebrospinal fluid and various membranes that surrounds the brain and the spinal cord. This system of fluid motion stretches from the cranial area, or the face and head, down through the spine to the pelvic area, which is called the sacrum. The craniosacral system was discovered by osteopathic physician John Upledger in 1970, and he developed CST based on his findings ...
