Frozen silence
numbs heart
shivers mind
slivers soul
out of control.

Feeling nothing
inside and out
severed in thought
solace is sought
fighting has stopped.

Strangers pass by
with little to say
family members
just fade away
into the distance
on their way
without you
muted in words
frozen in silence
of misunderstood.
