LifeSpark Cancer Resources

Everybody knows somebody with cancer. LifeSpark provides supportive care that improves physical comfort and well-being for these individuals. Through the Energy Partners program, participants are matched with Reiki and Healing Touch providers for weekly energy therapy sessions. Energy therapies are holistic, supporting body, mind, and spirit. They complement traditional medical care. For cancer patients, sessions can help reduce fatigue, sleeplessness, anxiety, and nausea. Participants often report improved mental clarity and a sense of peace and well-being.

'Support-A-Soldier' is a non-profit organization that is made up of parents, family and friends who contribute their time, energy and ideas to help raise money to buy needed gear and equipment for the soldiers who contact us. They get requests for items that our military men and women are purchasing out of their own pockets. Indeed, our military provides for our soldiers, but as you can imagine, there are certain items and specific requests for kit or mission specific gear that a soldier realizes will make their deployment more comfortable, perhaps a bit easier and on occasion, safer.

A Darfur Emergency response, providing shelter, water, sanitation and basic sleeping and kitchen materials, has been mobilized. They are also providing supplementary food to 50,000 children under the age of 5 and education for school aged children and women rape victims.
