Steve Judd's Forecast for February 2011
Libra | Scorpio | Sagittarius | Capricorn | Aquarius | Pisces
About Steve Judd
PLUTO is slipping again back into his own underworld, disappearing from the radar screen. NEPTUNE is getting ready to start moving into Pisces, but not just yet, and similarly URANUS is getting ready to exit Pisces and move into Aries in early March. SATURN is fairly stable in mid Libra. But it is JUPITER that attracts my eye, accelerating through the first eight degrees of Aries and brings a great deal more energy into the lives of the common man and the individual, probably at the expense of the combine, corporation or government. The little people are coming good. To quote a banner from Tahrir square, ‘people should not be afraid of governments, governments should be afraid of people’. MARS rocketing through Aquarius tends to amplify the issue of commonality and community.
But this month, it is the new and full Moons that concern me the most. The new Moon on the 3rd of February is exactly conjunct Mars, suggesting sudden and impulsive actions across the world that ushers in the new in a way that is incisive and irreversible. And the full Moon, opposite the Sun, Mercury, Mars and Neptune, is on top of the star Regulus, one of the four royal stars of the Persians. It is the star of nobility and splendour, of regality. When I did my global forecast video around the 25th January I found myself looking at the chart for the full Moon and thinking ‘the King will die, long live the King’. A month of new beginnings, Uranian revolution and startling developments that will really usher us into the age of Aquarius.
Aries Many of you are wondering what all the fuss is about, especially those of you born in April. But don’t worry, the false dawns and over inflated promises of the last eight months are now gone, and what is left is the bare bones of real substance. Over the coming few months there are going to be a number of significant opportunities for major personal development. If you don’t take these chances, you lose nothing. But if you do, then you’ll gain in ways that previously were not foreseeable. During February, Jupiter is accelerating through your sign, and bringing with it a great deal of hype and spin, especially for those of you born during March. But if you’re experienced and intelligent enough to look underneath all of the hype and spin, you’ll see that as long as you don’t take yourself too seriously then you'll be able to broaden your knowledge and consciousness. Take two thirds of the chances around you now, but at the same time remember to throw a fishing line or two into the future, because remember – despite the sudden increase and acceleration of the energies around you, this is only the beginning of a new cycle, not the high point. Will you do your normal head first and go for the short term growth, or will you play the long game, both for the coming four months AND the coming seven years – remember, Uranus is only a month away. Change is coming fast enough. No need to rush.
Taurus It’s a push me pull you month in that you seem to be piggy in the middle of a large number of different situations, and the hardest thing to do during February is exactly that which is being asked of you - to tread the middle path and not allow yourself to be pulled to extremes. On the one hand, it’s possible and even probable that situations and environments in your public and professional sphere are kicking off in a way that speaks of challenge and short term difficulty, even possibly confrontation. Remember that it’s fine to be assertive and projective, but confrontation and aggression aren’t necessary. You may find that you’re coming across in ways that seem to be treading on other’s toes, so be aware of your forcefulness and remember to take the occasional deep breath. And if it’s not your professional or work scene that’s firing off in all directions, then it will be the opposite area – that of your immediate home and personal life. If you find that close family ties are proving too clinging or holding you back or down in some way, take the wise course and don’t let your buttons get pushed. Sometimes it really is better just to sigh, look at people in a very knowing way and then walk away rather than get involved in a slanging match. I know that it’s archetypal, but there really I something of the frustrated bull about you this month, and the wise amongst your will take physical action to alleviate potential anger issues.
Gemini There’s nothing emanating from your sign, and there’s nothing coming directly towards your sign either. Sot this means that you’re in a neutral state and not much is going to happen, yes? Well, that’s one option. If you’re the type of person who wants a relatively easy and conventional lifestyle without too many problems and a nice easy flow of life, then this is the month for you. But then, what the hell are you reading this column for? I know that there’s a case for saying that if its working don’t fix it, but the truth is that there’s also a buzz about you that’s at least open to suggestion. From the sidelines you’ll find a lot of different avenues of communication evolving. Normally I’d be looking at you output, but for February it’s definitely a case of input from the outside world. In areas of your one to one interactions, there are still ongoing developments which are subtly but definitively restructuring your boundaries in the ways that you allow people to draw close to you. And in the ways that you interact and communicate with community, you should find that this is an excellent month for growth and expansion. You should find that people are actively seeking your company and that your popularity levels are high, primarily because people want you for you words and wit as much as anything else! It is an interactive and social month, full of ideas and communications and a very fertile time. No new big challenges.
Cancer Transition time, in that you’re not going to be able to make clear sense of what’s going on at the moment, so best of really not even trying, instead just coasting and rolling with flow. Some of you, particularly those born during June, will be finding February a real rollercoaster of a month, where situations can rapidly escalate and get out of hand in ways that seem almost out of control. It’s important to keep things in perspective and not let yourself get dragged into something that is little if anything to really do with you, because if you get too caught up in other people’s dramas then not only will you end up having to sort it all out but you’ll also end up taking the blame. Perhaps it would be a better course of action were you to step back from the fray to an extent and let things take their natural course without too much help from you. By doing this not only do you remove yourself from potential juggernauts, but you can also retreat into yourself to a minor degree and recharge your batteries so that when the time is right you can re-emerge fully fit. It’s important to keep things in perspective and not to allow situations to get out of hand, but at the same time don’t completely cut yourself off from people. Better to set yourself up as the wise sage casting judgements from a detached place as opposed to getting mixed up in it all. It is a comparatively quiet month, but do keep a wary and discerning eye for incoming won’t you?
Leo It seems to be coming at you from all directions at the moment, especially as far as other people are concerned. One to one situations are getting really stimulated, although whether that’s in a complimentary or a challenging way is very much up to you. The down side of what’s going on is that it would be easy for you to get your buttons pushed, especially in the first three weeks of the month when both Mars and Mercury are in your opposite sign. And yet if you step back and wait it out it may be that you will lose ground. Better perhaps to increase the elasticity of your armour and to roll and ride with the punches whilst at the same time giving as much as you get. Having said that, there is also the need for maturity and wisdom and knowing when to stop before things get wildly out of hand. There is the annual Leo full Moon on February 18th, in the final degree of your sign and on top of Regulus, one of the four brightest stars in the sky. Regulus is known as the royal star, and often attracts energies based on nobility, honour and transparency, which when mixed with the natural flambouyance of Leo creates situations where sometimes it is hard to be modest when you know that you are the best. At the same time, the full Moon is opposite Neptune, so don’t stick your neck or your head out, perhaps literally. If you push it too much in February you will alienate people and isolate yourself. But at the same time, neither is it time to roll over and have your tummy tickled.
Virgo Finally, it seems as though the promised land of relative peace and quiet is arriving on your doorstep. Sure, a very few of you born at the very end of your sign are going through the final throes of recent years, but 99% of you are now at the point where you can start to loosen the white knuckle grip on your sanity and your boundaries and know that as you emerge into 2011 so you’ll find that things really do begin to calm down in a way that hasn’t happened for over seven years. There’s been intensity and extremes, probably followed by a sudden re-insertion into society, followed again (over the last couple of years by a time of significant challenge and testing. The last twelve months has been the peak of this time, and the last two months the tip of the iceberg. Now you can begin to relax again in a way that’s not happened with safety for quite a long time. Much of February involves you daring to let go of the deep breaths that you’ve been seemingly holding for recent years, and beginning to take stock of your surroundings, knowing that the bully boys have gone away. Don’t get Stockholm syndrome! Don’t keep hold of your problems now you can let go of them, otherwise you will become both addicted and enslaved to them. It is not yet time to move forward, but it is time to let your shields down ever so slightly and let yourself relax to a degree into whatever circumstances you currently find yourself in, knowing that there are no more major new big challenges in the medium term future.
Libra Such a mixed bunch this month, so many different influences… In the background (surely you’re getting used to him by now?) there’s Saturn, seemingly always Saturn, brooding and casting a judgemental eye over all that is ongoing. Admittedly it’s only mid Librans that are under the most pressure, but this month is a continuation of all of the examinations and testings of recent times, with new evaluations and assessments becoming steadily more and more grounded. And then there’s Jupiter, travelling very fast indeed through your opposite sign, bringing an unusually fast degree of change into the lives of those of you born in September. This attention is not that welcome, you’re only recently beginning to form new skin after some of the ravages of recent months, and the idea of suddenly being pushed into the limelight isn’t that compelling an option. If things seem to get suddenly larger than life this month, roll with it but know that it is only brief and that mountains could easily get made out of molehills if you’re not careful. And then there’s your social life… It does seem that despite the undercutting and overstretching of both Saturn and Jupiter, there is also a rather nice undercurrent coming in that speaks of better social and community options developing in ways that can only be seen as favourable. Occasionally actions do speak louder than words, but only occasionally – listen and learn.
Scorpio Do you want to fly high, soar away from all of your problems and flee to green and new pastures where you think you can begin again? Or do you just want to hunker down, stay in the warm and cosy and just nestle in? I’m afraid that neither is an option, and that the boring and somewhat frustrating middle path is the safest option in the short to medium term. If you find yourself getting too enmeshed in the comfort mode associated with home and safety, then you may well be digging yourself a muddy pit which it will become increasingly difficult to extricate yourself from, and when you do you’ll find that places to go have got up and gone. But if you fly high and push yourself out into the world without paying attention to your roots and foundations – well, we all know what happened to Icarus. It’s time to apply the hard earned lessons of wisdom and moderation whilst you still can. In months to come you’re going to find that your capacity to go to the edge and beyond will be examined with a fine microscope – but now is not that time, and despite the lower belly rumblings that border on primal growling there is still a good case for holding your current ground and not venturing out. Were you to impact on the world now, it would be in a way that would be seen as unsubtle and perhaps course, whereas by three months from now you’re going to have a much greater degree of focus and concentration and will be far more incisive in your actions.
Sagittarius This has to be one of the best months of the year as far as having quality company and interaction goes. There are no signs of major challenge or new difficulty coming in any way beyond the day by day, and there are a number of opportunities for many of you to move forward. These are in two main areas coming under the spotlight – firstly, there seems to be a greater degree of solidity and stability coming into many areas of your life now, in ways that is encouraging you to take more responsibility for your situation, giving you more self discipline and the ability to persevere and work hard. Through a nose to the grindstone attitude you can put in place foundations for the future that will remain stable but not immovable for many years to come. And secondly, February is a month where you should find that the day by day levels of communication and interaction with those around you brings more in terms of news, actions, developments – all things that make you think, speak, move – communicate. It is a fortunate month, in that there are a number of windows of opportunity passing in front of you. If you take them you will do well, and if you don’t take them you will lose nothing, although in times to come when these types of chances aren’t around you may regret not taking them when they were in front of you. It’s a month to capitalise of the changes of recent months, and to take a few chances – chances, not risks.
Capricorn Much of the intensity and madness of December and January has left you more than a little befuddled, and quite possibly exhausted in some shape or form. Now, as the active and dynamic planets of Mercury and Mars head out of your sign and Venus comes in, so I expect you to really start relaxing (as far as Capricorns do relax) as February evolves. There is still the background brooding presence that is Pluto, although he’s much more low key that he was a month or two ago. But when Venus and Pluto come together in the 9th and 10th of February in your sign, there could be real fireworks in the bedroom – it’s a great time for expressing your passion in a way that is personal and private but not inhibited. And as Venus passes through your sign, all of you should feel the desire for a bit more pleasure and leisure in your life, so if the opportunity for a good massage or a few hours in a sauna comes along, do take it because it will bring you into a much less stressed physical state. I cannot stress this enough – for most of you the hardest time of 2011 is already over. December Capricorns are going to have an experiential month, with the accompanying risks of over indulgence and allowing things to become too expansive, and mid Capricorns are in a continuing state of restructure, exercising their powers of discernment and selectivity if they’re sensible. But for all Capricorns this is a more chilled out month, one to drop a gear or two and smell the coffee.
Aquarius Fastest month of 2011 bar none, this is a time for actions and events as opposed to plans and blueprints. Both Mars and Mercury are in your sign until about the 21st of the month, creating a whirlwind of communication and actions. The tempo at the day by day level could get so fast that if you’re not careful things could get a little raged at the edges. Mars will bring the impetus and the energy to get things done, but he will also ride roughshod over any sensitivity, either or your own or of those around you. He’ll bring passion and enthusiasm but a minor shortage of tact and diplomacy may also be noticed. And because Mercury is also in attendance, there will be a noted increase in both the level and the quantity of communication to the point where you could find yourself becoming frenetic. Time to moderate some of your more impulsive sides, methinks… The Aquarius new Moon on the 3rd is in a very powerful spot, conjunct Mars and bringing all sorts of volatile and charged energy into your life, and the underlying theme here has to be one of action but with caution. By all means take affirmative and calculated chances, but don’t let your head rule because impulsive actions and decisions are almost certainly going to fail. And the period immediately after full Moon is also hugely significant for you, in that after this time veils will drop from your eyes and you’ll see things from a more balanced perspective.
Pisces For many months and in some cases many years I’ve been telling Pisces that January through to early March 2011 was going to be the defining time for them as far as the last decade is concerned. And indeed, now at the end of this decade long period of transition and metamorphosis, I am still saying the same – that basically, the last few months have been end game and whilst there’s still a little mopping up for those of you born at the very end of Pisces, even that will be done within a few weeks. But this doesn’t mean that it’s going to be quiet. What you’re likely to find is that February starts with a big sigh of relief as the pressure and synthetic urgency of recent months deflates. And then you go into a two week period of meltdown and reforging, in that you get a chance to take a few deep breaths and recharge yourself in readiness for the next wave, which begins on February 20. But fear not, this is only the entrance of Mercury and Mars together into your sign, suggesting that the latter week of February will be more proactive than perhaps you might like. If so, don’t worry too much, this is merely an echo of recent times. The coming weeks are very fertile times where deep rooted prime seeding can take place in a way that throws long term fishing lines into the future. It will not be a quiet month! But it will be less stressful, tense and over the top, and it will gradually bring the opportunity for new beginnings to take place at month end.
