Cretan Labyrinth | Pewter Finger Labyrinth

The Cretan Labyrinth holds a special place in ancient mythology and human imagination. According to Greek legend, it was crafted by the master artisan Daedalus for King Minos of Crete, to contain the fearsome Minotaur—a creature half man and half bull. The design was said to be so intricate that even its creator could barely find his way out once the labyrinth was complete.

Archaeological discoveries, including coins from Knossos, depict the distinctive single-path pattern known today as the Cretan or seven-course labyrinth, a timeless symbol of journey and transformation.

In a remarkable 2024 discovery, archaeologists unearthed a vast circular structure near Knossos—nearly 50 meters in diameter, made up of eight concentric stone rings with interconnected corridors and chambers. Its unique “almost labyrinthine” design offers new insights into the myths that inspired one of humanity’s most enduring symbols of mystery, reflection, and spiritual passage.

It is said that walking—or tracing—the labyrinth helps restore harmony and stillness within. Many hospitals and healing centers have embraced labyrinths as spaces of reflection, comfort, and renewal.

Crafted in fine pewter, this 3-inch finger labyrinth is beautifully packaged in a velvety red pouch.
